Emily Barger...our little angel

The following was posted by Emily's Dad, Brian, yesterday. I have postponed sending this because I needed to speak with Madi first. She is having a tough time but knows that Emily is in heaven and her pain is gone. I will post addresses to send condolences later today.
Please give YOUR angel-on-earth an extra hug today.
Love, Rhonda

On Tuesday night at 9:00 heaven got another little angel,, and her name,, Emily Barger.
She fought this horrible disease and the complications from surgery to the very end. It was hard to watch her go, but we know now that her body is once again whole and not hurting any more.
Misty and I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers, and coming together to lift up our little daughter and our family.
In the end, Emily lost her earthly battle, but while doing so help lots of people come together for a common cause, and in that she is and always will be a winner.
We will be receiving friends at Salem Baptist Church in Halls Thursday, from 5 to 8, with services following. Emily will be burried in Madisonville at 3 on Friday. Madisonville and the farm in Sweetwater were the two places where Emily loved to be, so we thought that would be fitting for her final resting place.
For directions to the church you can log onto www.salembaptisthalls.org
This is not the last update there will be at least one more, I'm not sure when that will happen.
Until then..Take Care and God Bless

Kinney Drugs Miracle Dinner
Photos will be uploaded later but I MUST get this out to everyone.
First, my sincerest thanks to Ashley Adams, Alexandra Davis, Izzy Marsala and Miss Madi for performing "If No One Will Listen" last evening. It was certainly one of the greatest highlights of my career.
Second, I wish you all could have been there. After Goose Gossage spoke, they surprised the 500 plus attendees by having the girls come out in costume. Cindy Bufalini (who, with words alone, made me cry) introduced them.
The crowd grew quiet, the dance began, the girls were In The Zone. End of dance-- pause of silence and then...a ROAR of applause. Everyone jumped to their feet and a LONG standing ovation began. Goose stood up, grabbed Madi and lifted her to his shoulder. The crowd went NUTS and the ovation continued for about three minutes.
GOOSE bumps--- get it?? Ha.
I want to thank Stacy from Kinney Drugs for making this an evening that NONE of the dancers (and especially a glowing Madi) will EVER forget.
For Jocelyn, who makes wishes come true every day, a great hug of thanks...
and to Madi "our miracle" thanks...just for being YOU!

Carthage Recital June 30th

Press Release Re: “In The Co. of Angels” Carthage Outreach Recital
For Immediate Release
Contact: Rhonda Foote/Artistic Director

On Monday evening, June 30th, students from “In The Company of Angels” will hold their Outreach Recital in the gymnasium at St. Augustinian School in Carthage.
Showtime is 7:00 p.m. and will feature dancers, gymnasts, theater pieces and vocalists from the company. The evening of entertainment will include performers of all ages.
Co-Directors Rhonda Foote and Carrie Grant-Edick are happy to showcase the first season of talent from their studio located at 264 State Street, Carthage. The evening will include guest artists from the Gouverneur location, also.
“The company is a true collaboration of talent from across the North Country. Aside from our full time studios and gyms in Carthage and Gouverneur, we are also starting a program in Watertown located at I.H.C. Intermediate School,” stated Carrie Grant-Edick.
“This, along with our grant supported after school programs, helps us to fulfill our business goal- to make arts education accessible to and affordable for all who wish to study”, added Rhonda Foote.
The company will also perform both Friday and Saturday during the St. James Fair. A registration table will be set up for all three local performances. Interested individuals may also visit www.coofangels.blogspot.com for schedule information or call 315-767-3978 to register for summer or fall programs.

A Thank You from the Dance Director

Dear All,
I want to personally thank everyone for a terrific performance at SLU yesterday.
To the Gouverneur dancers:
WOW!! I hope you realize just how much you have accomplished since September. You made me laugh and cry yesterday with your improvement and your talent. I am excited to see what this summer and next season will bring for all of you.
To the Carthage dancers:
As always, you made me soooooooooo proud. Your commitment to me and your fellow company dancers was evident in so many ways-- mostly in the fact that you drove ALL that way for two long days to share your talents. MUAH.
To the parents:
Thank you for sharing your "Little Wonders" with me. Never doubt that no matter the heat, the length of the day or the stress of the costume changes...weekends like the past one are the stuff that dancer's dreams are made of. YOU are incredible for making your child's dreams come true.
Thank you,
Rhonda Foote

I wanted to share the following email I received from Emily Barger's Dad--
Rhonda,
Thank you very much for the care package it really
made Emily's day to get something from you and
Madison. The pink dragon was "ordered" to be put on
her bed so she could see it. Unfortunately she has not
been feeling well enough to play with any of the
items.
Also tell eveyone thanks for the cards, Misty read
them to Emily yesterday.
That's all for now, I have to get back to work.
Brian

Emily's updated condition: They had to delay radiation treatment due to her fragile health. They hope to do that today. Emily's tumor has grown 8 inches in one week and has pushed her organs to one side. She is having difficulty breathing and eating and is pain whenever she is awake. For Madi and I, it is so hard to think of Emily this way when, just in March, she was running around Disney and swimming in the pool with Madi...please keep her in you prayers-- Rhonda
